How it works
IMAGE GUIDELINES: Your photos can be old or new original photos or digital files. We can scan original paper photos (large or small).
FILE FORMATS: We will accept any file format, but for best results we prefer JPG's (please send the largest jpg you have - please do not optimize down).
PHOTO SIZE: The minimum recommended size of your digital images is approximately 500kb. Any size below this can cause pixelation on the canvas print. WHEN UPLOADING YOUR PHOTO PLEASE KEEP ORIGINAL FILE SIZE AND DO NOT OPTIMIZE DOWN - we need the best quality possible.
CROPPING: If your original image is landscape (for example) and you wish to have a square canvas, please indicate where you wish the crop to be. If you are happy for our designers to choose the best crop we will email you a proof (please request).
BLEED: A bleed is where the image wraps around the canvas sides (example below). Please indicate on your order which of the 2 options you prefer...
IMPORTANT INFO ON BLEED:
We will need an additional 1.5 inches all around your image for the bleed (image wrap) for example if you chose a 16x16" canvas your image will be printed at 19x19". Please bare this in mind when choosing bleed or no bleed as we do not want to wrap heads over the top of the canvas! If we are unsure we will contact you.
FRAMING: Our canvas frames are handmade from planed pine, each individually crafted to your canvas specifications.
DEPTH: Our standard frame depth for your canvas print, is (1.25") 3cm .
CANVAS: Our canvas is 100% cotton canvas with a matte finish, as it is a natural canvas (unlike a polycanvas). Owing to the natural rawness of the canvas there is a slight texture to the final product.
MARKS, BLEMISHES AND RED EYE We are more than happy to remove any of these but an email request must be made to images@originalcanvascompany at the time of ordering as we cannot visiaully scan every image for marks and blemishes. Unfortunately, some smaller imperfections can only be spotted when the image has already been printed and enlarged.
PRINTERS: We use professional large format EPSON printers, with specially formulated genuine EPSON UV inks and six-ink Colour Layering Technology which create continuous tones and smooth colour transitions.
DELIVERY: All orders (within the UK) over £100.00 are FREE delivery. Orders under £100.00 are subject to a packaging & delivery charge which is £7.50. We use Citylink Express Service and a signature will be needed on delivery. Customers outside of the UK should contact us for delivery charges. Turnaround for canvas prints is normally 3 - 5 working days from receipt of your image to dispatch.
